A First Posting

Someone said, "Today is the first day of the rest of your life," but I can't remember who. Maybe today is the first day for me . . . at least in blogging. I've been trying to get around to setting up my blog since August, when my friend Dan Griffith helped me enter everything for my blog. Just no time to get serious during the school year, but now that summer is here, and there are no schools to visit, I'm going to try. Bear with me while I learn . . .

Hi Sandy!
My first time on any blog site too. Yours seems to work finne. Cute picture of the baby.
I'll check you out from time to time to see what your trip to the Ukraine is like.
Signing off for now. Sara

This is my first time on a blog also (read Sara's comment). Everything looks great. Wish I knew something ... anything ... about blogs. Do you have to pay to have a "blog site"? Susan, one of our authority persons, doesn't know much about them either. She said some blogs only give out information, but yours seems much better since folks can comment. Jackson's picture is great. I am so very, very happy that you can be there to share in his growing up years.

Sandy--
I don't know who said the quote, just misquoted you when I referred to Emmerson. I'm trying to fix your blog site in my Favorites section to have easy access. We'll see how this works.

...just a quick note to say hi to Frank and Sandy and anyone else who is reading this... I am happy to have been included in the blog notification ... great pics.. I am sooo bummed I couldn't make the reunion party in April. Sandy and Frank- you guys look awesome!!!! I'll send along some recent pics of my family to your email.

...I just had an acoustic music/songwriters party at my house in Pensacola last weekend and Nate Tracy, Dave Rowe , my brother Daniel, and John Hale all came by... quite often when I play music I think how neat it would be to have Jay listen and critique my horrendous singing and guitar skills, since I didn't start playing music really till after he passed... he would've probably chuckled and said 'stick with the college/work thing man and leave the rock-n-roll to us professionals!' ... and he would've been right! :-) ... okay must sleep ... will add more later (just in from a 13 hr work day and am beat tired)

Sorry we didn't get to enjoy Jay in his VM days. Guess we'll have to be satisfied with memory of him and Tim and "Walter Melon" and their rockin chair episode from Maine to Washington.

Great job with your Blog, Sandy! Writing is certainly ONE of your gifts. You're to be commended for staying with this kind of project.

Happy "day after the 4th!"
